I am very thankful that I have such wonderful friends at work, otherwise I would go postal at work and Taylor would never manage to get a Birthday cake. Michele my friend at work offered to make Taylor a Teddy Bear cake this year as she had a Build-a-Bear party. Taylor's Granny flew in and we celebrated her belated birthday with Granny by eating her hand-made bear cake and spending her Build-a-Bear gift card that her Granny gave her. Jackson loved the cake. He would have eaten the entire thing if I let him. Taylor got the first bite and the poor bear lost his ear. Before we were done the bear became decapitated, What a strange way to enjoy cake. People ate the food court asked were they could buy a cake like that, and I proudly said that it was a hand-made one of a kind. Thanks Michele so very, very much. You saved the day.

Taylor wanted a Build-a-Bear Birthday party this year. She invited some of her closest friends which there surprisingly happened to be two boys in the mix along with her cousins. We were unable to have cake and ice-cream at Build-a-Bear, they don't have anywhere to sit and eat; so we ate in the food court. We messed up her party of course and had to buy a cookie pizza cake from Mrs. Field's, and ice cream from Orange Julius. The kids didn't care because it was sugar and that was good enough. Taylor loved the gifts she got from her friends, and her friends all loved their bears. All in All a good day. I can't believe how fast they grow up.

Grandpa is so Funny !!!!

Jackson had the best time at Taylor's Birthday party playing with Grandpa. Grandpa would sneak around his neck and give him a kiss. Jackson would squeal with delight. Grandpa and Grandma Beardall played with him while I tried to keep the party go-ers all together, which was no easy task since there were so many and they can run in all different directions.

Santa. Who is that and why do I need to sit on his lap?

So we decided to go meet the MAN. Taylor was of course the most beautiful girl in all of Orem Mall. Jackson charmed the line with his smile and silly sounds. The dressed in their christmas outfits, complete with a christmas beenie for Jack which he refused to wear. Oh Well !!!

Jack sat on Santa's lap I quite sure only because his sissy was. We got the picture before he really got a good look at the MAN, so the picture turned out well. I was pleasantly surprised that he never cried. He did get a good look at him and wasn't sure to pull the beard off or to climb off of his lap.

Taylor asked for a Trex Racecar Track (whatever that is) and she asked for a Mickey Mouse rocking horse for Jack.

Tall orders to fill so close to Christmas. I hope he can do it.

Taylor and Jackson fell asleep in the car on the way home. I think the 2 hour wait in line wore them both out.

Jack had been so good about leaving the tree and presents alone until this day. He decided that it was time to open a gift. He failed to read the tag that said it was to his sister, but we will work on that later. He tried to eat the paper, and then her tried to pull the ribbon off. He suceeded in eating off the corner of the paper and then I decided that he had to be done. He has been pretty good about leaving the ornaments alone. What a Doll !!!

LOOK WHAT DADDY DID !!!

To my surprise when I got home from work last Tuesday morning Shawn told me that he had cleaned up Jackson's bad haircut. We had discused how badly his cut was and how we needed to even up the length on top and in the very back, but I didn't think that that meant that he was going to shave the whole thing off. As you can plainly see, Shawn was very proud of his handy work. Shawn had said that he wanted to see what he would look like with his hair like Shawn's but I held my ground that I wanted it to be able to spike on the top. I guess I lost that battle. Now they really look like twins. Poor, poor baby.

Boys Will Be Boys:

Whoever made that saying is nuts. If you have you ever wondered why my house is always trashed, here is the main cause.

I spent the morning taking pictures of my busy little man. Since he discovered that he can go wherever he wants, he is in to everything. I mean EVERYTHING!!!

The first picture is why I can't get anything done. He hates to crawl and so badly wants to walk that he pulls himself up on everything. I thought that this meant that he wanted me to pick him up, but I was wrong. As soon as I picked him up he wanted down.

The next two are of him playing on the sliding glass door. I need not say any more. Of well who wants clean windows anyway.

The next pic is of him standing under the table holding onto a chair. I thought it was so cute how he fit perfectly under there.

The last pic is the worst. I had told him all morning not to play in the dog food bowl, but to no avail. He not only spread it all over the floor, but he even ate a piece. Shawn thought it was funny, and so did Jackson. I tried to get it out of his mouth, but he just bit me. At least it is organic dog food.

Furry Spiders

This is this weeks' craft. Taylor made furry spiders with cupcakes. The recipie called for black licorice strings which are nowere to be found in Utah so me improvisied and used orange pipe cleaners. We used chocolate sprinkle for the fur and M&M's for their eyes. Taylor gave spiders to all of her neighbor friends.

Pickin' Pumpkins

Taylor and Jackson picked their pumpkins during our visit to Cornbellies. Taylor picked pumpkins for the family according to what the pumpkin looked like compared to who it was for. I got to pick the cutest pumpkin from the patch. Jackson was such a good sport with all of the poses I would put him in.

Cornbellies Corn Maze

Another halloween tradition is to visit Thanksgiving Point"s Cornbellies Festival. We always get lost in the maze, eat scones and other fattening foods, and pick our pumpkins from the patch. It was very cold and we thought that it would be too cold for Jack, but her had a wonderful time. He loved the Hay Ride and the Honey butter from the scones.

Halloween Crafts

This was a new tradition I wanted to start for Halloween. I had planned on doing a Halloween craft each week, but with my recent hospitalization that was knid of put on hold. Taylor made spiders with Ritz crackers, peanut butter, raisins for the eyes and straight pretzel sticks for the legs. All of my friends at work helped me find cute recipies for us. Thanks Guys

Timpanogos Cave Hike

We tooj Taylor on a hike to Timpanogos Cave this Fall. She is a very out doorsy person and loves to explore new places. She was not prepared for the very long, steep hike to the cave. We were able to make the hike in just under a hour. She was very excited to go to the cave because her second grade teacher now tours the cave. All thru the tour she would ask the guide if he knew where Mrs. Litchford was, and finally we found her and was able to get a quick picture and hug with her.

I can't believe that it has been six months already. It seems like time has just flown-by. Jackson has grown and progressed so much from that small, sick baby to this lively, oppionated little man. We celebrated his Half Birthday with cake and party hats. He did not like the cake, but loved his party hat.

My Monkey Man

My mom bought Jackson his costume this year. I am so grateful for this as we don't have a lot of money right now. She chose a monkey costume because she thought it looked like him. I have to agree that it kind of does. We tried on the costume during our trip to Phoenix. He was not impressed and the harder that we laughed, the madder he got. These are some of the rare moments in it that he was smiling.

Mommy's monster

I have recently discovered that I may have created a monster even my step mom states that I won't be able to leave him with anyone anymore. I was so happy to have him here, that I rarely put him down (EVER!!!). He even slept on my chest. We have been working on everyone starting the night in their own beds. Taylor can have a problem with this too. We go thru our entire routine including a lotion massage, but he will scream until the break of dawn. I am having trouble letting him cry himself to sleep. I feel like I am losing the battle and my mind.

My Jackson Jump Up

Jackson's Granny want him to have something to play with during his vacation to Phoenix so she bought him a jump up. We had so much fun laughing with him while he spun in the doorway. He had a lot of fun in it, but we had to stay within site of him at all times or he would cry. He is going thru anxiety whenever he is left alone for any period of time. I hope I haven't created a monster by holding him too much.

Jackson is learning to sit and doing a pretty good job at it.
These were taken during one of our morning sessions with floor play. I am so glad that we have memory foam padding under our carpet.

Bi-polar Baby

These were taken for his 5 month pictures. He went from happy and smiles to tears and to smiles again in a matter of minutes. He weighs about 18 pounds and is 25 inches long.

His favorite past time is to stand on my lap and try to bite off my fingers. I fear the day he gets teeth.

First Day of school !!!!

Taylor's first of 3rd grade. She continues to attend Mountainville Academy. Every year she has a themed back pack and supplies. This year I decided I would surprise her, however, she found the stuff hidden under the bed. So much for that surprise. She was more nervous than she had evee been before. I had to walk her not only to her room, but into the actual room and to her desk. She now loves it and is doing well. She started basic pre-algebra. I was shocked. It won't take long before she is smarter than me.

This is Jackson's new favorite toy. He loves to sit and watch the world around him. He hates this toy because it stays on the tray. He pulls and pulls with all his might but can not break it free.

My first Playdate!!!!

Jackson had his first playdate with his cousin Ali.

They are only 6 weeks apart.

Their activity was to lie on Grandma Beardall's bed and watch the ceiling fan turn.

I don't think either one of them even knew that the other one was there, but that was O.K. it was more to capture pictures of them together anyway.

They have made our family a lot more exciting. We can't wait to watch them grow up together.

Jackson loved to talk to Grandma on the bed. She was so wonderful to help in anyway she could during my pregnancy. I don't know what I would have done without all of my family's support.

At 2 1/2 months old, Jackson is just starting to smile.

His toothless grins are sure to melt your heart.

His uncle Chris was able to get him to smile while I stood behind him to snap the pictures.

He is such a good baby. We are truly blessed to have him.

Last Day of School !!!
The school celebrated the last day of school with a Toga party.
Taylor wanted to be Athena, however that is not a easy costume character to dress up as.
Athena has a eagle in mythology, but we had to use our parot instead.
Taylor had a king sized sheet for a toga, and a knight's sheild for her armor.
What a great last day of school.

Early Sunday morning I got a call from a Sheriff's Deputy at the nurse's station. She told me here name, but that was a piece of information I did not hear. She explained to me that my husband had been arrested for a DUI. He was found to be sleeping in his car on old Redwood Road. Apparently he got lost trying to find his way home and decided it would be a good idea to take a nap.
He was taken to Spanish Fork Jail were he spent most of the morning in a cell by himself. I had to get the help of a Bailbondsman to get him out. The Bail turned out to be 1,300 $ which thankfully we only had to come up with 10%.
He has a court hearing on June 25th so we will see what his sentence will be. Please stay tuned for more info on this matter.

Softball 2008

Taylor is playing on a team named The Black Diamonds

It is a whole family event. Her Dad and Papa are the coaches.

Her Nana and Mom help during the game. We have a good record

and have a lot of fun with the girls. Some girls we have had on our

team for multiple years.

Taylor's favorite position is "Catcher". she does not enjoy the outfield as well.

She can't hardly walk once all of the catcher's equipment is on, but it sure

cute to watch her try.

I can honestly say that for the girls, the funnest part of the games is the treat

afterwards.

There is one thing that is sure to cause tears in our new baby. The dreaded "B" word.

He is still very new in these photos. We decided to let Big Sis give Jackson a bath.

Taylor is 8 1/2 years old. Jackson is 6 weeks old
We took a weekend trip to Las Vegas so Uncle Giggy
could meet our new baby.
This was Jackson's introduction to swimming.
He hated every second of it. The problem was that the water was cold.
Taylor of course is a fish, and loved the water.
She got a wonderful tan and had a blast doing it.
Taylor put her goggles on Jackson trying to be funny, but he actually liked it. He could open his eyes despite the bright sun.

Happy Birthday Baby Jackson. He made his arrival early and consequently spent his first two days in N.B.I.C.U. He had a good birth weight which I suspect is why he stayed for such a short time. He was initailly on CPAP to help him breathe, but quickly transitioned off. The nurses on the unit called him "Tank" in reference to his size as compared to the rest of the babies. He was able to leave the hospital with me after four days. He had to first conquer one more hurdle and pass his carseat study. Thankfully he passed with flying colors. Now our real journey begins.

Ready or Not !!!

I guess my Easter present is going to come early. Jackson's due date was April 23rd. He decided to come March 12th. I was only 35 weeks. I was terribly scared, not only for the pain that was sure to come, but because he was early. My labor lasted 26 hours.

y decided to slow down my progress after 4-5 cm. He tolerated most of the labor well, but eventually got tried and i required a amnioinfusion. He arrived on the morning of March 12th at 00:49. He amazingly weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce 5 weeks early. He was 19 1/2 inches long. He had apgars of 6,7,7. He was taken to the N.B.I.C.U. right after birth due to some respiratory distress.

Happy 8th Birthday Taylor!!!!

Taylor had her Birthday Party at Sweet and Sassy Salon. Her and her friends rode in a stretched limo to and from the party. They were treated like royality. They got to pick out a fancy dress to wear while at the party. They all got up do's, their make-up and nails done. Next they sang Disney songs on stage. Taylor recieved a LCD T.V. from her Daddy as well as many other toys from her friends and family. Her Daddy was the most popular parent at school for at least a week. Truly a party fit for a princess.
